A Shadow is a short film I made as the capstone of my Media Studies degree. The film follows Sam, a young man becomes obsessed with his late father’s final on screen performance due to the memories the film brings back. Sam tries to use the film to rejuvenate his grieving mother, though for her it may mean reliving the loss all over again.
A Shadow is adapted from the literary short story of the same name in R K Narayan's Malgudi Days. This was submitted along with a paper on the role of adaptation theory in the filmmaking process. Because of this film I was awarded honors on my degree by the Claremont Intercollegiate Media Studies Faculty.
